Worked example
At 100 MHz, the calculator’s 10 mm opening example is approximately 43.5 dB. If the solid-sheet estimate is higher, the displayed planning comparison is 43.5 dB because the opening is lower. That is not an enclosure result.
Limitations
Far-field plane-wave and one-opening model only. It omits near-field coupling, enclosure geometry, multiple openings, seams, doors, gaskets, louvers, penetrations, bonding, corrosion, workmanship, frequency sweeps, and field testing.
