Worked example
At 3 T, Larmor frequency is about 127.7 MHz. A 100 mm circular opening has an approximate 1,757 MHz cutoff, so it is below cutoff. At cutoff or above, the widget deliberately withholds the below-cutoff length.
Limitations
This does not establish an MRI suite requirement, material, thickness, construction specification, or magnetic shielding design. It does not model seams, doors, services, ventilation geometry, site RF conditions, or verification.
